Listening to LGBTQ Youth at the State House

Listen Up's Producing Director Bess O’Brien and Managing Director Melissa Leo spent a day

at the Vermont State House on March 29th listening and interacting with kids who were advocating for LGBTQ rights.

The event, organized by Outright Vermont, was well attended by LGBTQ youth and their allies. Participants were inspired and energized by the enthusiastic response from legislators.

Melissa and Bess spoke with many teens at the conference and organized upcoming workshops with youth for the Storytelling Phase of the Listen Up Project.
